High-Quality FM Tuner with RDS Function and Stereo/Mono Modes
Rotel has been producing quality tuners since the 1960s. One of the latest additions to this long-established line-up is the T11 FM tuner RDS. It provides easy access to classic analog FM stations along with the build quality and engineering that has made Rotel one of the most respected names in audio.
Like the T14, T11 features the ability to easily store and recall up to 30 FM presets. A further useful feature common to all 14 Series products is the ability to dim the display panel and power LED to provide a comfortable visual reference in all lighting environments. A wireless remote, FM antenna, and audio cable are included.

RDS Broadcast Reception
This Rotel unit is equipped with RDS (Radio Data Systems) reception capabilities. The RDS broadcast system provides additional functionality to FM radio reception by transmitting encoded information along with the radio signal.
This signal is decoded by an RDS receiver and can provide a range of informational features including a display of the station’s identifying name and/or call letters, the station’s program content (such as ROCK or NEWS), a scrolling text display for announcements or information (such as the name of the song that's playing), and the current time and date. The RDS button on the included remote control can step through the various displays.
Please note that the RDS features are entirely dependent on the broadcaster sending properly encoded signals. Thus, they will only be available in markets where RDS is currently implemented and where stations are broadcasting these data signals. Not all FM stations use RDS, but enough stations use it to make this an extremely worthwhile function.
Convenient MONO Mode for Listening to Fringe Stations
The MONO button on the included remote control changes the FM mode from stereo reception to mono reception. In stereo mode, a stereo signal will be heard if the station is broadcasting a stereo signal and there is sufficient signal strength.
Why is MONO mode a good feature? With a fringe station, it can make all the difference between a broadcast that's pleasant to listen to and one you would rather skip over. Switching to mono mode can be a useful way to improve the reception of weak or distant FM signals. Less signal strength is required for clean mono reception than for stereo reception.

Stereo Analog Output with Included Cable
The unit outputs a stereo analog signal. Use the supplied audio cable to connect it with input jacks of your preamplifier or processor. Be careful and make sure that connections correspond to each other. Right channel output must be connected to right channel of your preamplifier’s or processor’s right channel, and vice versa.
RS232 Control
The T11 can be controlled via RS232 for integration with automation systems. The RS232 input accepts a standard straight DB-9 Male-to-Female cable.
Note: The T11 has the capability of decoding DAB+ broadcasts. DAB+ is a digital radio standard used in 40 countries for HD sound quality over the airwaves via participating FM radio stations. At this date, the DAB+ system isn't used in North America, and it isn't expected to be adopted.
