Built on Award-Winning DNA
The Vulcan TTx2 borrows its design from Pangea's flagship Vulcan rack line — winner of Positive Feedback Magazine's Writer's Choice Award (2017). Same steel-post engineering. Same rock-solid feel. Just scaled up for vinyl lovers who refuse to compromise.
What You Need to Know
For the Vinyl Collector Who's Serious
Some collections stop at 50 records. Yours didn't. You're past 100, working toward 200, and not slowing down. You've also got a real turntable and a phono preamp or amp that needs a home.
The Vulcan TTx2 was made for you. One stand. Four shelves. Everything in one place: a heavy-duty top for your turntable, a shelf for your gear, and two big shelves below that hold 200+ records.
No more milk crates. No more piles. No more splitting your setup across two pieces of furniture.
The "Mega" in Mega Vinyl Storage
That's not a marketing word — it's the math. Each LP storage shelf holds 100+ standard albums, upright and easy to flip through. Two shelves means 200+ records, all on one stand.
The shelves are 23.75 inches wide and 18 inches deep. That's plenty of room for any standard LP jacket — no overhang, no bent corners. Each shelf gives you 13.1 inches of vertical space, perfect for upright storage.
And because the shelves are protected by a tough vinyl wrap, you can flip records in and out without scratching anything up. Built to last.
The X-Brace Trick — It Gets Stronger as You Load Records
200 vinyl records can weigh up to 160 pounds. That's a lot of weight on the bottom of the stand. So how does Pangea keep things rigid even at full load?
Steel X-braces on each side of the stand — two per side, four total per LP shelf. Look at the photos and you'll see them. They aren't just for show — they're the secret to the stand's strength.
The clever part: the more weight you add, the tighter the X-braces pull. So a fully-loaded stand is actually stronger than an empty one. As your collection grows, your stand grows tougher with you.
An Extra-Heavy Top Platform Built for Turntables
Turntables are picky. Any wobble, any flex, any vibration — you'll hear it on playback. So Pangea made the top of the TTx2 extra-tough.
The top platform is 19mm thick — 25% thicker than standard Vulcan shelves and supports 25% more weight. It can handle up to 80 pounds of turntable. Big enough for almost any model on the market, with room for a dust cover too.
The platform measures 23.75 inches wide and 18 inches deep. Plenty of space for full-size belt-drive decks, direct-drive turntables, or anything in between.
Plus a Component Shelf for Your Gear
What sets the TTx2 apart from a pure LP storage rack? An extra component shelf right under the top platform. That's where your phono preamp, integrated amp, or DAC lives.
It's rated for up to 72 pounds — enough for a heavy integrated amp or a fancy phono stage. There's 7.25 inches of clearance above it, which fits most phono preamps and slim integrateds.
Need more components? Pangea's Add-A-Shelf Kits let you mix in a third or fourth gear shelf if you want to expand. Just keep total height in mind — taller stands need careful planning for rigidity.
Tool-Less Assembly in About 15 Minutes
Like every Vulcan, the TTx2 needs zero tools. No screwdriver. No wrench. Just your hands.
The steel posts twist together with bolts hidden inside each post. You hand-tighten each connection, and the whole stand locks into one rigid piece. We call this tool-less assembly.
Most folks finish setup in about 15 minutes — even at this size. And once it's built, it stays solid. No sagging, no wobbling, no creaking. Just a stable home for the music you love.
Who Is the Vulcan TTx2 Best For?
You own 100+ records and your collection is still growing. You need real storage — not a token shelf or two.
You want one stand that holds your turntable AND a phono preamp or amp — without giving up record storage.
You care about turntable performance — and you want a heavy-duty platform that fights wobble and vibration.
You hate clutter. Records on the floor, gear scattered, cables tangled — none of that. You want it all in one clean home.
You don't want to mess with tools or wade through a long instruction sheet. You want it built fast.
You want a finish that matches your room — Black, Carbon Fiber, Rosenut, or Espresso.
How It Fits Into Your Room
The TTx2 stands 41 inches tall, 23.75 inches wide, and 18 inches deep. That's about chest-high for most adults — taller than the regular Vulcan TT, since it adds a second LP shelf below.
It uses an open-air design. No back panel, no solid sides — just the steel frame, the X-bracing, and the shelves. Air flows through to keep your gear cool, and you can reach behind for cable swaps.
The TTx2 ships with cone feet and steel spikes. The spikes anchor on carpet for a stable footing. On hardwood, tile, or vinyl floors, you'll want to use the included Mini Sonic Saucers — they protect your floor from the spikes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many records can it really hold?
200+ standard LPs, with 100+ on each of the two storage shelves. They sit upright with full jacket protection — no overhang, no bent corners. If you've got more than that, give us a call at 800-942-0220 and we'll help you plan a setup.
Will my turntable fit on the top platform?
Almost certainly. The platform is 23.75" wide and 18" deep — large enough for nearly any turntable on the market, including big belt-drive models. It also supports up to 80 pounds. If your turntable is unusually large or heavy, give us a call at 800-942-0220 with the specs and we'll check the fit.
Do I really not need any tools to put this together?
That's right — no tools needed, even at this size. The Vulcan TTx2 uses steel posts that twist together with threaded bolts inside each post. You hand-tighten everything. Most folks finish setup in about 15 minutes. If you can twist a doorknob, you can build this stand.
What's the X-brace, and why does it matter so much on this stand?
It's a set of steel cross-supports on the sides of the stand — two per side, four per LP shelf. Vinyl is heavy — 200 records can weigh 160 pounds. The X-braces add rigidity so the stand stays rock-solid even when fully loaded. The clever part: as you add weight, the braces tighten. So a fully-loaded TTx2 is actually stronger than an empty one.
What's the difference between the TTx2 and the regular Vulcan TT?
It comes down to record capacity. The Vulcan TT (27.5" tall) holds 100+ records on one shelf — plus a turntable platform and one component shelf. The TTx2 (41" tall) holds 200+ records on TWO shelves — plus the same turntable platform and component shelf. If your collection has outgrown 100 records, the TTx2 is the right move.
What's the difference between the TTx2 and the Vulcan TT LP Storage Rack?
Both hold 200+ records. The Vulcan TT LP Storage Rack (33.5" tall) skips the middle component shelf — it's just a turntable platform plus two LP shelves. The TTx2 (41" tall) keeps the component shelf so you can put a phono preamp or amp in the same stand. Pick based on whether you need that gear shelf.
How tall is 41 inches in real life?
About chest-high on most adults. It's the tallest of the Vulcan turntable stands. It usually fits between or next to floorstanding speakers without blocking sightlines. If you've got a low ceiling or window behind your gear, give us a measurement and we'll help you decide.
Will the spikes hurt my hardwood or tile floor?
The spikes are sharp and made for carpet. The Vulcan TTx2 comes with mini Sonic Saucer discs to use on hardwood, tile, or vinyl floors. If you want bigger ones for added protection, we recommend our Sonic Saucers Isolation Discs — brass discs that protect your floor and help reduce vibration.
Does the X-brace block access to the back of my turntable?
No. The X-braces are mounted on the sides of the stand, not the back — and only along the LP storage section at the bottom. The back stays completely open for cable routing, and the top platform area is clear. The open-air design keeps it easy to plug and unplug your gear.
Can I add more shelves later?
Yes, with one note. The TTx2 is already a 4-shelf stand at 41" tall. Pangea recommends 42" as the maximum height for any Vulcan stand to stay rigid. So you have very little room to go taller. If you need more shelves, you might consider pairing the TTx2 with a separate Vulcan rack instead. Give us a call and we'll help you plan it out.
Does the rack come with a warranty?
Pangea backs the Vulcan TTx2 with a manufacturer warranty. Audio Advisor also offers a 60-day money-back guarantee — if it's not right for you, send it back. Have questions about warranty terms? Call us at 800-942-0220 and we'll walk you through it.
Does the finish change how it sounds?
No. All four finishes — Black, Carbon Fiber, Rosenut, and Espresso — use the same MDF shelf core and the same vinyl wrap. The wrap is just for looks and protection. Pick whichever color matches your room or your turntable.
