Built on Award-Winning DNA
The Vulcan TT borrows its design from Pangea's flagship Vulcan rack line — winner of Positive Feedback Magazine's Writer's Choice Award (2017). Same steel-post engineering. Same rock-solid feel. Just purpose-built for turntables and vinyl.
What You Need to Know
Made for the Vinyl Lover Who's Run Out of Shelf Space
Records take up space. A lot of it. Once the vinyl bug bites, you'll find yourself stacking albums on the floor, in milk crates, leaning against the wall. That's no way to live with a collection.
The Vulcan TT solves it. One stand. Three jobs. A rock-solid platform on top for your turntable. A second shelf for a phono preamp or amp. A bottom shelf built to hold 100+ records, upright and easy to flip through.
Pangea built this stand because most turntable stands missed the mark. They were too pricey, too flimsy, or didn't store records at all. The TT fixes all three.
An Extra-Heavy Top Platform Built for Turntables
Turntables are picky. Any wobble, any flex, any vibration — you'll hear it. So Pangea made the top of the TT extra-tough.
The top platform is 19mm thick. That's 25% thicker than standard Vulcan shelves and supports 50% more weight. It can handle up to 90 pounds of turntable. That's enough for almost any model on the market — from a Pro-Ject to a heavy belt-drive deck.
The platform also measures 23.75 inches wide and 18 inches deep. Plenty of room for full-size turntables and their dust covers.
The X-Brace Trick — It Gets Stronger as You Load Records
Here's something cool. Look at the sides of the stand and you'll see steel X-braces — two per side, four total around the LP storage shelf. They aren't just for show.
200 vinyl records can weigh up to 80 pounds. That's a lot of weight on the bottom shelf. Pangea needed a way to keep the stand rock-solid even when fully loaded with vinyl.
The trick: the more records you add, the tighter the X-braces pull. Weight makes the frame stronger, not weaker. So if you start with a few albums and grow into a full collection, your stand grows tougher with you.
Tool-Less Assembly in About 15 Minutes
Like every Vulcan, the TT needs zero tools to set up. No screwdriver. No wrench. Just your hands.
The steel posts twist together with bolts hidden inside each post. You hand-tighten them, and the whole stand locks tight. We call this tool-less assembly, and most folks finish in about 15 minutes.
Even better — the stand stays solid for years. No sagging, no wobbling. Just a flat, stable platform for the music you love.
The Right Height for Easy Use
Why 27.5 inches tall? Pangea designed the TT at that exact height for a reason. It's the sweet spot for using a turntable comfortably.
You're not bending way down to drop the needle. You're not reaching way up to flip a record. Stand or sit, the TT puts your turntable right where you want it.
It also fits between most floorstanding speakers without blocking sightlines. And at 18 inches deep, it tucks neatly against a wall.
Modular — Grow It as Your Collection Grows
Already at 100 records and looking at 200? You can add a second LP storage shelf. Just buy a Pangea Add-On LP Storage Kit and bolt it on the bottom.
Need an extra component shelf for a phono preamp or DAC? Buy a regular Add-A-Shelf Kit and pop it in. Mix and match LP shelves and component shelves any way you want.
One note from Pangea: don't go taller than 42 inches total, and keep the load under 270 pounds. Past that, the stand may lose some of its rock-solid feel.
Who Is the Vulcan TT Best For?
You own a turntable and a growing record collection — and you're tired of records piling up on the floor.
You want one piece of furniture that holds your turntable, a phono preamp or amp, and your records — all in one spot.
You don't want to fight with tools or wade through long instructions. You want to plug in and play.
You care about turntable performance — and you want a stand that fights wobble and vibration.
You want a finish that matches your room — Black, Carbon Fiber, Rosenut, or Espresso.
How It Fits Into Your Room
The Vulcan TT stands 27.5 inches tall, 23.75 inches wide, and 18 inches deep. About the size of a small chest of drawers. It fits beside a couch, between two speakers, or against a wall.
The open-air design keeps your gear cool and lets you reach behind for cable swaps. No back panel, no solid sides — just the steel frame, the X-bracing, and the shelves.
The TT ships with cone feet and steel spikes. The spikes anchor on carpet for a stable footing. On hardwood or tile, you'll want a set of small protective discs (more on those below).

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my turntable fit on the top platform?
Almost certainly. The platform is 23.75" wide and 18" deep — large enough for nearly any turntable on the market, including big belt-drive models. It also supports up to 90 pounds. If your turntable is unusually large, give us a call at 800-942-0220 with the dimensions and we'll check the fit.
Do I really not need any tools to put this together?
That's right — no tools needed. The Vulcan TT uses steel posts that twist together with threaded bolts inside each post. You hand-tighten everything. Most folks finish setup in about 15 minutes. If you can twist a doorknob, you can build this stand.
How many records can it really hold?
The bottom shelf holds 100+ standard LPs upright, with album jackets fully protected from corner to corner. If you've got more records than that, you can add an LP Storage Kit — which gives you another shelf for another 100+ albums.
Is the top really stronger than a regular shelf?
Yes. The top platform is 19mm thick, which is 25% thicker than the standard Vulcan shelves and supports 50% more weight (up to 90 lbs.). That extra mass also helps reduce micro-vibrations that can affect turntable performance.
What's the X-brace, and why does it matter?
It's a set of steel cross-supports on the sides of the stand — two per side, four around the LP shelf. Vinyl is heavy — 200 records can weigh 80 pounds. The X-braces add rigidity so the stand stays rock-solid even when fully loaded. The clever part: as you add weight, the braces tighten. So a fully-loaded stand is actually stronger than an empty one.
Can I add another LP storage shelf?
Yes. You can buy an Add-On LP Storage Kit and bolt it on. That gets you 200+ records of total storage. Pangea recommends keeping the total stand height under 42" — past that, the stand may lose some rigidity.
What's the difference between this and the Vulcan TT LP Storage Rack?
This Vulcan TT (27.5" tall) gives you a turntable platform, a component shelf, and one LP storage shelf for 100+ records. The Vulcan TT LP Storage Rack (33.5" tall) skips the middle component shelf and gives you two LP storage shelves for 200+ records, with a heavy-duty platform on top. If you have more records than gear, that one's a better fit.
Will the spikes hurt my hardwood or tile floor?
The spikes are sharp and made for carpet. The Vulcan TT comes with mini Sonic Saucer discs to use on hardwood, tile, or vinyl floors. If you want bigger ones for added protection, we recommend our Sonic Saucers Isolation Discs — brass discs that protect your floor and help reduce vibration.
Does the X-brace block the back of my turntable?
No. The X-braces are mounted on the sides of the stand, not the back — and only along the LP storage section at the bottom. The back stays completely open for cable routing, and the top platform area is clear for your turntable's RCA cables and power cord.
How do I know what height to set up at?
Pangea designed the 27.5" height specifically for turntable use. It's high enough to use comfortably without bending down — and low enough to fit between most floorstanding speakers without blocking sightlines. Most folks find it just right.
Does the rack come with a warranty?
Pangea backs the Vulcan TT with a manufacturer warranty. Audio Advisor also offers a 60-day money-back guarantee — if it's not right for you, send it back. Have questions about warranty terms? Call us at 800-942-0220 and we'll walk you through it.
Does the finish change how it sounds?
No. All four finishes — Black, Carbon Fiber, Rosenut, and Espresso — use the same MDF shelf core and the same vinyl wrap. The wrap is just for looks and protection. Pick whichever color matches your room or your turntable.
