What Is the DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2?
The Master Edition Gen 2 is a network streamer and DAC — it connects to your home network and streams music from Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and more, while converting the digital audio into analog sound your amp can use.
It's built on the same foundation as the standard DMP-A6 Gen 2 ($859). Same chassis, same DAC chips, same streaming platform, same linear power supply. But inside, EverSolo made targeted upgrades that take the performance further.
At $1,399, it sits between the standard Gen 2 and the DMP-A8. It's the right choice when you want the compact, practical A6 form factor but with better clocks and a more refined output stage.
What's Different in the Master Edition?
Four things set the Master Edition apart from the standard Gen 2.
Accusilicon femtosecond clocks. The standard Gen 2 uses good dual clocks. The Master Edition upgrades to Accusilicon femtosecond-grade oscillators — one for 44.1kHz-family audio, one for 48kHz. These are exceptionally precise for this price range. Lower jitter means sharper imaging, cleaner detail, and a more stable, controlled sound.
OPA1612 op-amps. The standard Gen 2 uses Texas Instruments OPA1642. The Master Edition steps up to the OPA1612. The OPA1612 has a noise floor of just 1.1nV/√Hz and distortion of only 0.000015% at 1kHz. These are the same op-amps used in EverSolo's more expensive DMP-A8. The result is a quieter, more transparent output stage.
Retina-level high-resolution display. The Master Edition's 6-inch touchscreen is upgraded for sharper clarity and better color accuracy compared to the standard Gen 2.

The DAC — Dual ESS ES9038Q2M, One Per Channel
Two ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips handle conversion — one dedicated to the left channel, one to the right. Running them independently cuts interference between channels and produces better stereo separation.

Digital inputs: USB-B (up to DSD512/PCM 768kHz), coaxial, optical (Toslink), and HDMI ARC. Each input is electrically isolated — noise from your source device stays out of the path the sound takes.
Digital outputs: USB-A, coaxial, optical, and HDMI (for multichannel audio to a receiver or TV, including DSD64 native and up to 5.1-channel PCM).

Accusilicon Femtosecond Clocks — Master Edition Exclusive
The Master Edition uses two Accusilicon femtosecond-grade oscillators — one tuned for 44.1kHz audio (CDs and most streaming), one for 48kHz audio (video and broadcast content). Accusilicon clocks are among the most precise available at any price. Lower jitter means tighter imaging and cleaner, more focused sound.
The standard Gen 2 uses good dual clocks. The Master Edition's Accusilicon clocks are a meaningful step up — and they're rare to find at this price point in any streamer.
OPA1612 Op-Amps — Master Edition Exclusive

Can I connect my TV to the Master Edition Gen 2?
Yes. The HDMI ARC input accepts audio from a compatible TV's HDMI ARC output directly. TV audio — movies, streaming video, gaming — plays through your hi-fi system. This is the same feature present on the standard Gen 2.
Does the Master Edition Gen 2 have analog inputs?
