This cable is a factory-matched replacement for the Focal Utopia, built to fit its locking Lemo-style connectors at the headphone end and a single-ended 3.5mm plug at the amplifier end.

Locking Lemo-Style Connectors at the Headphone End

Focal's Utopia uses locking Lemo-style connectors at the headphone end, a different termination from the dual 3.5mm connector Focal uses on Clear, Stellia, Celestee and Elegia. This cable is built specifically to match Utopia's own connector.

A Single-Ended 3.5mm Amplifier Connection

The amplifier end of this cable terminates in a 3.5mm plug, single-ended rather than balanced. Focal separately offers a 6.35mm-terminated version of the same cable, though that version is not currently carried on our site.

Look for a small twist-lock collar at the headphone end: that is Focal's Lemo-style connector. The amplifier end is a plain single-ended 3.5mm plug, no locking mechanism, unlike the headphone end.

Those models use dual 3.5mm connectors at the headphone end, not Utopia's locking Lemo-style connector, so this cable is not the right fit for them. A separate cable is built for that connector family.

What happens if I order the wrong connector for my headphones?

It simply won't plug in. Headphone connectors aren't interchangeable the way many amplifier connectors are, so check your headphones' own connector, and the amp-end plug your amplifier or DAC uses, before ordering.
