Pangea's spec sheet rates HD23PC as a High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet. That grade carries 1080p and 4K at 30 frames, the Audio Return Channel from a TV back to a receiver, and all 3D formats. The HDMI Ethernet channel lets connected devices share a network over the same cable.

Oxygen-Free Copper, 24 AWG

Pangea lists oxygen-free copper conductors of 24 AWG in the shorter lengths and a heavier 23 AWG in the longer runs, so the long cables keep their signal strength. The conductors are twisted in pairs and shielded, as the HDMI standard requires.

Will it do 4K HDR?

It carries 4K at 30 frames, which covers most 4K movies. HDR at 4K/60 and the newer formats need an 18Gbps or 48Gbps cable, which this is not.

Why does the gauge change with length?

Thicker wire loses less signal over distance. Pangea uses 24 AWG in the short lengths and steps up to 23 AWG in the long ones so the far end still gets a clean signal.
