The Vincent Audio SV-700 is one of Vincent's senior hybrid amplifiers. It uses a symmetrical, dual-mono design with zero negative feedback. Seven tubes shape the signal in the preamp stage: one 6Z4, two 12AX7, and four 12AU7. Solid-state Toshiba transistors handle the power amp stage.

A front-panel switch lets you choose how it runs. Pure Class A gives you the purest, most linear sound, at 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Class AB gives you full power instead: 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 160 watts into 4 ohms. Either way, you get the sound you want — maximum headroom, or Class A's famously smooth character.

Alongside three stereo RCA inputs, the SV-700 adds a balanced XLR input. That's a touch usually reserved for high-end separates, and it lets the amp pair well with premium sources and preamps.

A built-in DAC feeds both an optical (Toslink) and a coaxial digital input, turning digital music back into the analog signal your speakers need. Inside, a 500-watt toroidal transformer and Panasonic capacitors keep the power supply steady, even when the music gets demanding. An aluminum remote control is included.
