The result is a hybrid amplifier that sounds like a tube design but drives speakers like a much larger solid-state amp.

That hybrid approach pays off at the flip of a switch. In Class A, the SV-700 delivers 50 watts per channel with the linearity Class A is known for. Switch to Class AB, and output jumps to 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 160 watts at 4 ohms, without powering down first. It's two amplifiers in one chassis, chosen to match the music rather than compromised to average them out.

Three RCA inputs and one balanced XLR input cover a full analog system, and a coaxial and optical digital input with a built-in DAC handle CD-quality digital sources directly, no external DAC required.
