Advanced Vacuum Tube Design
Despite its small size and easy portability, the WA8 Eclipse boasts an advanced vacuum tube desig. It comes with robust military-grade vacuum tubes, rated for 10,000 hours of life. For versatility in the analog realm, it offers user selectable two-tube or three-tube operation to accommodate in-ear monitors and to tailor the sound quality to different headphones.
The Class A, Single-Ended Triode topology uses premium customized OCC Single Crystal Copper output transformers that are ultra-efficient, offering high bandwidth and low loss.
For digital music lovers, the WA8 Eclipse uses a newly redesigned audiophile-grade ESS SABRE Reference 24/384kHz DAC that excels with Hi-Res music files. The DAC is compatible with both Apple iOS and Android devices with appropriate adapter.
Advanced Battery Technology
The WA8 Eclipse operates via external DC power or 'off-the-grid' battery operation. Advanced battery power technology provides power to the vacuum tubes and the DAC. The rechargeable lithium battery offers several hours of play, and unit is operable during charging.
All of this power and capability is housed in a CNC milled aluminum chassis with a smooth anodized finish available in Black, Space Gray, or Gold. A rugged travel case is included.
