What You Need to Know
What is the T 758 V3i, and what does it do?
The NAD T 758 V3i is a 7-channel AV receiver. It combines surround processing, room correction, video switching, and amplification for seven speakers — handling 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos or DTS:X home cinema natively, or up to 7.1.4 with external amplification through the pre-outs.
It sits below the flagship T 778 in NAD's lineup — a more affordable AV receiver that keeps what matters (Dirac Live, BluOS, MDC modularity, Dolby Atmos) while skipping the touchscreen and 9-channel amp of the T 778.
Story Behind the V3i Refresh — AirPlay 2 and Siri Come On Board
The V3i isn't a rerun of the V3. NAD added Apple AirPlay 2 integration and Siri voice control through the Apple ecosystem. Combined with BluOS multi-room streaming, refreshed Dirac Live, the VM 130i video MDC module, and AM 230 audio MDC, the V3i became a meaningfully different receiver from its predecessor.
Why does it matter? How does it improve your listening?
Stereo power output is 110 W per channel into 8 ohms within rated distortion. Full Disclosure Power — NAD's conservative, all-channels-driven rating across the full audio band — is 7 × 60 W at 0.05% THD. Dynamic power reaches 137 W into 8 Ω and 243 W into 4 Ω. Damping factor is over 60.
HybridDigital amplification combines Class D efficiency with refined analog input circuitry — running cool, conserving energy, and delivering consistent power across all seven channels. NAD's PowerDrive technology adds dynamic headroom for bringing out the best in any speaker.
Dirac Live Room Correction is built in with a supplied calibration microphone. Dirac is widely regarded as one of the most effective room-correction systems available. It measures your room's acoustics, then applies digital correction to flatten frequency response and tighten timing. Advanced users can upgrade to the full-featured Dirac Live version.
BluOS wireless streaming is enabled by the supplied upgrade kit — native Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Qobuz Connect (added September 2025), AirPlay 2, and Roon Ready support. MQA decoding is built in. Up to 24-bit / 192 kHz playback. AirPlay 2 is built into the V3i platform itself, bringing Siri voice control to the receiver.
Who is this best for?
You want a 7-channel home theater receiver that takes music seriously — without paying for features you don't need.
You're building a 5.1.2 native Dolby Atmos or DTS:X system, or 7.1.4 with external amplification.
You want Dirac Live room correction without stepping up to the flagship T 778.
You stream a lot of music — BluOS, AirPlay 2, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Roon Ready are built in.
You're a custom installer — the V3i ships with RS-232 control, 12V triggers, a Second Zone remote (ZR 7), and 5 customizable A/V Presets.
How does it connect to your system?
Video: 3 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output, with 4K UHD passthrough at up to 4K/60p, 4:4:4 color, and HDCP 2.2. Analog video sources are converted to HDMI for one-wire connection to your display. Audio Return Channel (ARC) and Consumer Electronic Control (CEC) supported.
Audio: 7 channels of HybridDigital amplification with speaker binding posts on the rear. Multiple subwoofer outputs allow flexible bass management. Pre-outs let you bridge in external amplification for more demanding speakers or to expand to 7.1.4.
Network: Ethernet for the most stable streaming. BluOS connects to your router for hi-res streaming, AirPlay 2, Siri voice control, and multi-room playback.
Modular: NAD's MDC (Modular Design Construction) architecture means the V3i ships with replaceable cards — VM 130i for video and AM 230 for audio. As new formats emerge, MDC modules can be swapped without replacing the receiver.
Custom install: RS-232 serial, 12V triggers, ZR 7 Second Zone remote (included), independent source and volume controls for Zone 2, 5 Custom A/V Presets for different program material.

Frequently Asked Questions
What else do I need to use the T 758 V3i?
You'll need speakers, speaker cables, source components (Blu-ray/4K player, streaming box, game console, TV), HDMI cables, and a network connection. The V3i handles processing, room correction, video switching, and amplification — just connect sources to HDMI and speakers to the binding posts.
What's the difference between the T 758 V3 and the V3i?
The V3i is a meaningful refresh of the V3 — adding Apple AirPlay 2 integration, Siri voice control, and updated Dirac Live software. The V3i also ships with the VM 130i video MDC module (replacing the earlier VM 130). HybridDigital amplification, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and 4K UHD passthrough carry over from the V3.
What's the difference between the T 758 V3i and the T 778?
The T 778 is the flagship — 9 channels of HybridDigital, 140W stereo, a large touchscreen front panel, more HDMI inputs, and Dirac Live Limited Bandwidth with Full Bandwidth upgrade path.
The T 758 V3i is the step-down — 7 channels, no touchscreen, 3 HDMI inputs, but the same Dirac Live, BluOS, MDC, and HybridDigital amplification in a more compact package.
Does this have BluOS streaming built in?
Yes — BluOS wireless streaming is included via the supplied upgrade kit. BluOS is NAD and Bluesound's hi-res streaming platform. The free BluOS Controller app (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows) handles everything. Native support for Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, and Roon Ready.
Does this support Dirac Live room correction?
Yes — Dirac Live Room Correction is included with a calibration microphone. Dirac is one of the most effective room-correction systems on the market. Advanced users can upgrade to the full-featured Dirac Live version with custom target curves.
Does this support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X?
Yes. The V3i supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object-based surround formats, plus Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The 7-channel amplification handles 5.1.2 natively; 7.1.4 with external amplification through the multichannel pre-outs.
Does it support HDMI 2.1, 4K/120, or 8K?
No. The T 758 V3i uses HDMI 2.0 — supporting 4K UHD passthrough at up to 4K/60p with HDR and 4:4:4 color. HDMI 2.0 does not support 4K/120 Hz or 8K, both of which require HDMI 2.1.
Can I use it for two-channel music as well as movies?
Yes. NAD designed the T 758 V3i to take music seriously — the "music first" philosophy is central to the design. Stereo power is 110 W into 8 Ω, with built-in BluOS streaming, AirPlay 2, and the same Dirac Live room correction the surround channels use.
Is it ready for custom installation?
Yes. RS-232 serial, 12V triggers, and a ZR 7 Second Zone remote are included. Independent source and volume controls for Zone 2. Five Custom A/V Presets let you save tailored configurations. Compatible with major control systems (Control4, Crestron, RTI, URC).
