What You Need to Know
The Floor Is the Worst Place for a Power Amp
Power amps run hot. They're heavy. And they're sensitive to vibration. So why do so many of them end up sitting right on the carpet or hardwood?
Three big problems with floor placement: heat builds up underneath because there's no airflow. Footsteps and bass vibrations travel right up into the chassis. And dust collects on and around the unit faster than anywhere else in the room.
The Vulcan X-Brace Amp Stand fixes all three. It lifts your amp 7.75 inches off the floor, opens up airflow underneath, and isolates the chassis from floor vibration with steel spikes that drain energy down into the floor.
Built for the Heaviest Amps You Own
Big power amps are no joke. A serious stereo amp can weigh 50 pounds. A pair of monoblock tube amps can weigh 80+ pounds each. This stand is built for that kind of gear.
The shelf supports up to 200 pounds. That's enough for almost any home amplifier — even big Class A monsters. The shelf itself is 21mm thick (0.83"), which is the thickest in the whole Vulcan line. More mass means more vibration control and more weight capacity.
It's also 21" deep — three inches deeper than the standard Vulcan rack shelves. That extra depth matters because most power amps are deeper than they are wide.
X-Brace Rigidity, Cone-Point Feet
Two design features make this stand rock-solid. First, two steel X-braces mount on the sides of the stand and lock the four steel posts together. This kills any flex or wobble, even with 200 pounds on top.
Second, the stand sits on cone-point feet with steel spikes. The spikes pass all the way through polymer cones and into the bottom of each post. That gives you a direct path for vibration to drain from the amp, through the stand, and into the floor — instead of bouncing back up into the chassis.
Result: a stand that doesn't flex, doesn't ring, and doesn't pass floor vibration up to your gear. Tool-less to assemble — about 15 minutes by hand.

Who Is This Stand Best For?
You own a heavy power amp or a pair of monoblock amps that won't fit on a rack shelf — they're too big, too deep, or too heavy.
Your amp currently sits on the floor and you want to lift it for better airflow and less dust.
You care about vibration control — and you want spikes to drain energy from the amp into the floor.
You want a clean look — Black, Rosenut, or Carbon Fiber to match your room or your other gear.
You don't want to mess with tools or wade through a long instruction sheet. You want it built fast.
Pairs Well With
- Two Amps? — Running monoblocks? Buy two stands — one for each amp. Place them next to your speakers for short signal paths.
- Floor Protectors — On hardwood or tile? The cone-point spikes are sharp. Slip a set of brass discs under each spike to protect your floor. Sonic Saucers Isolation Discs (Set of 4).
- Component Rack — If you've got a full system, pair this amp stand with a Vulcan component rack: Vulcan Audio Rack or the heavier-duty X-Brace Audio Rack.
- Power Cables — Now that your amp is properly mounted, give it a clean signal. Browse Power Cables.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my power amp fit on this stand?
Almost certainly. The shelf is 23.75" wide and 21" deep — large enough for nearly any home power amp on the market, including big monoblocks. It also supports up to 200 pounds. If your amp is unusually large or heavy, give us a call at 800-942-0220 with the dimensions and we'll check the fit.
Why does my amp need a stand at all?
Three reasons. First, airflow — amps run hot, and getting them off the floor lets cool air circulate underneath. Second, vibration — footsteps and bass vibrations from speakers travel up through the floor and can affect amp performance. Third, dust — keeping the amp off the floor keeps it cleaner. Plus it just looks better.
Why is this stand so much stronger than a regular Vulcan shelf?
Two reasons. The shelf is 21mm thick — the thickest in the whole Vulcan line. And the X-braces lock the posts into an extra-rigid unit. Standard Vulcan shelves hold 75 lbs.; the X-Brace add-on holds 90 lbs.; this amp stand holds 200 lbs. It's the workhorse of the line.
Why is it deeper (21") than other Vulcan shelves (18")?
Because power amps. Most home audio components are wider than they are deep. Power amps are different — they're often deeper than they are wide because the heatsinks run front-to-back. The 21" depth gives you full clearance for any standard power amp.
Can I stack two amp stands?
No, this stand is a single-level floor stand. It's not designed to be stacked or expanded. If you need a multi-shelf setup, look at the Vulcan X-Brace Audio Rack instead.
Will the spikes hurt my hardwood or tile floor?
The spikes are sharp and made for carpet. On hardwood, tile, or vinyl, you'll want a set of floor-protector discs. We recommend our Sonic Saucers Isolation Discs — brass discs that protect your floor and help drain vibration into the floor better.
Do I need two stands for monoblock amps?
Yes — one for each amp. Most folks place each monoblock right next to the matching speaker for the shortest possible speaker cable run. Two stands, one per amp, keep things symmetrical and clean.
Do I really not need any tools?
That's right — no tools needed. The Vulcan X-Brace uses steel posts and braces that twist together with threaded bolts inside each post. You hand-tighten everything. Most folks finish setup in about 15 minutes. If you can twist a doorknob, you can build this stand.
Does it come in finishes other than Rosenut?
Yes — Black and Carbon Fiber too. Same shelf and stand design, just different shelf finishes. The posts are always black sand powder-coated.
Are returns easy if it doesn't fit my room or my amp?
Yes. Audio Advisor offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. If it's not right for your setup, send it back. Just keep the original packaging.
